Ballot question asks people to merge schools

ATWOOD -- Two schools could become one after Tuesday.
ATWOOD -- Two schools could become one after Tuesday.  People from the Atwood-Hammond and  Arthur-Lovington school districts will be voting on annexing their schools.

K - 8 would be held in Atwood and high school would be in Arthur.  The superintendents say the move could help cut costs for both districts.

If it passes, the annexation would happen for the 2014 - 2015 school year. Students would get to vote on a mascot and colors would be a combination of all schools.
