DANVILLE --The Vermilion County Museum said Happy 205th Birthday to Abraham Lincoln. It's celebrating our 16th president's birthday by displaying cards made by students. All of the 391 submitted cards will be on display for the general public and awards will be given out later.

"With Abraham Lincoln, he gives them a sense of a common person that actually can do anything. Even in their cards they say, 'We wish you were here today.' So it's like saying what's in the past is still valuable and it could be used today and they realize that. That is what's most important," said Sue Richter, director of the museum.

The exhibit is open throughout February and March. There is also a photographic exhibit of Lincoln with him in different locations around Illinois.
