City drops aggregation program

CHAMPAIGN -- City officials have made a decision about electricity.
CHAMPAIGN -- City officials have made a decision about electricity. They're ending the electric aggregation program. The last day is May 31. The reason? Ameren's electricity supply rate is cheaper.

What happens from here? If you're signed up in Champaign, you have 60-days to choose another electric supplier, or do nothing and stay with Ameren. Public works says the aggregation program saved people more than $1.5 million on their electric bills.
