MONTICELLO -- School district officials are trying to decide what to do about the high school. They're deciding whether to build a new one or remodel the current facility. Either way, tax money is needed.

They gave the community a survey. The superintendent says more than 1,035 people answered the questionnaire. Many say they would approve building a new high school. One man says he needs more information.

The new school would cost $35 million. Property taxes and a small sales tax increase would pay for it. Voters will decide in November if the school board puts it to a ballot.
