Egwu, Illini continue to struggle

CHAMPAIGN -- Illinois basketball has lost four straight games, its longest losing streak since Bruce Weber's 2012 team dropped six consecutive games.

One of the biggest reasons is the lack of an inside presence.  Junior center Nnanna Egwu hasn't scored in two games.  The Chicago native missed all 10 of his shots against Purdue, allowing Boilermakers center AJ Hammons to score 17 points.

Against Michigan State, Egwu only attempted three shots in 22 minutes, missing them all while picking up four personal fouls.  Despite his inconsistency, Nnanna says he's still confident in his ability to score.
