DOUGLAS COUNTY -- Whether it's snowy weather or tornadoes, being alerted is key to staying safe. That's why the Douglas County Emergency Management Agency is wondering how well its systems work.

They use "CodeRED." In the past, it's helped with getting information out about boil orders and little things. In November, leaders realized its potential when the tornado touched down.

That's why they're asking for people to fill out a survey. It asks if they get warnings and how they're received. The survey ends about 10:30 pm Monday. So far, about 140 people have filled it out.
