Gender difference in recovering jobs after recession

NATIONAL -- More people are going back to work, but men are having a tougher time landing a job.
NATIONAL -- More people are going back to work, but men are having a tougher time landing a job. The Labor Department says men have nearly 700,000 fewer jobs than when the recession began while women have recovered most of the jobs they lost.

Men were hit harder during the recession when they lost construction and manufacturing jobs. Those are returning, just a little slower than healthcare and education jobs which women are finding.
