CHAMPAIGN -- More than 100 people showed up the city council meeting Tuesday night to protest an affordable housing project. It would build 160-homes west of I-57 on Cobblefield Drive.

Neighbors say they're worried about safety and traffic. Council members say they have no control over the project.

It's sponsored by the Housing Authority of Champaign County. It will hold a public hearing May 15.
