CHAMPAIGN -- Suspicious activity on a credit card raised a red flag. A credit card company noticed it and called the card's owner. That's when she realized her card had been stolen.

It happened Thursday, September 13. A woman bought more than $2,000 worth of items from the CVS Pharmacy in the 200 block of South Mattis Avenue. The credit card company thought that was odd and called the card's owner. It turns out the card was stolen from her backpack.

You can see security photos of the suspect below.

Ben Newell from the Champaign Police Department says, "The suspect (then) made several attempts to use the card at other local businesses, but the card was declined."

Newell describes the suspect as 30-40 years old with long black hair.

If you recognize her, call Champaign County Crime Stoppers at 373-TIPS. Or text: CCTip plus your information and send it to CRIMES. Or log on. You could get a cash reward.
