Hospital spends millions to help community

URBANA -- A Central Illinois hospital branch spent almost $25 million to benefit its community last year.
URBANA -- A Central Illinois hospital branch spent almost $25 million to benefit its community last year. Presence medical centers in Champaign-Urbana and Danville gave almost $7 million in free or discounted services for those who couldn't afford it.

More than $13 million went to programs that should have been funded by Medicaid. Another $4 million went to activities improving community health, education, research and support for community organizations.
