IL colleges stepping up campus security

CHAMPAIGN -- Nine Illinois colleges are coming together to make their campuses safer.
CHAMPAIGN -- Nine Illinois colleges are coming together to make their campuses safer. It's part of a pilot program called "Ready to Respond."

Workers at the state's Emergency Management Agency came up with the idea. The program recognizes schools meeting high standards for students, staff and anyone else who comes to campus.
