Kids to Know take support to the streets

SIDNEY -- Two Kids to Know are taking up the cause of homelessness by sleeping outside.
SIDNEY -- Two Kids to Know are taking up the cause of homelessness by sleeping outside. Kai Orwick and Rachel Dillman are students at Unity High School.

They have homes, food and warm beds. But, they're trading it all to sleep in a box on Friday.

Kai and Rachel are joining others in Downtown Champaign for C-U at Home One Winter Night. They'll be outside from 6 pm - 6 am, raising money to help the homeless.

The friends are painting their box bright green to make people pay attention. Something the girls are already doing. Kai and Rachel hope to raise $1,000 in donations.
