MACON COUNTY -- An area man agreed to life in prison without parole for pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree murder. Timothy Giles admitted stabbing and shooting 57-year old Cindanett Eaton and 23-year old Lindsey Eaton, in their Harristown home in August 2011.

The victims were the mother and sister of 27-year old Casey Eaton, who was seriously wounded and left for dead. She was involved in a custody battle with Giles over their 9-month old baby girl. Authorities say Giles also pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder for the attempt on Casey's life.

At the time of the murders, Giles was a Marine recruiter in Centralia. As part of the plea deal, charges of solicitation, home invasion, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated cruelty to animals were dismissed.

Authorities say Giles tried hiring a fellow inmate to kill Casey after his arrest. He's scheduled to be sentenced April 4.

Giles' sister, 23-year old Katrina Giles, is being held on $2 million bond. She faces first-degree murder and other charges for allegedly helping her brother prepare for the attack and attempt to establish an alibi. She's due in court March 13.
