Music the focus of new area business

CHAMPAIGN -- People will be able to buy music and listen to it live at a new business. It's called Error Records. The owner has been a fan his entire life. Now he's sharing that passion with others.

"They have to come and play somewhere before they can get big and do bigger things," said Nathan Landeolt. He's the owner and hopes that place is Error Records.

"As a kid, I never thought I would do this. I never thought that I would continue to play music outside of high school," said Landeolt.

But that is how long it has been his dream.

"I started playing music in high school and playing in bands and touring the country," said Landeolt.

Then he decided to settle in Champaign.

"There is a very big music scene here. It mostly consists of Indie Rock and there are a lot of bands that play in the bar circuit," said Landeolt.

He's hoping to introduce that music to you.

"It's going to be a record store as well as an all ages music venue," said Landeolt.

The store will be in the front part of the building and the music venue will be in the back.

"A place to come either to just get away, you know, hang out. I just want it to be somewhere people feel they can come and be accepted," said Landeolt.

And while you take in the music of Champaign-Urbana, Landeolt can take in the feeling of living his dream.

"I'm really happy and I think the younger me would definitely be proud," said Landeolt.

Landeolt expects the store part to be open sometime this month and the music venue sometime next month.
