Obstacle runners help local charities

URBANA -- The Crazy-K took over a local town this weekend. Thousands of people got a little crazy for a good cause. People went through hurdles, tunnels and crawls filled with mud for the 2013 CAR X Crazy-K.

Nearly 2,000 people ran the 5-K. This year the race raised $70,000 for local charities, making all of the dirt and mess well worth it.

"It was awesome, fun. If you think you can't do a 5-K you can do it. Especially with this one. It was so fun with the obstacles everybody keeps you moving. It was a great time. Muddy and wet. It was freezing," says runner Chrissy Scott.

The money raised will go to charities like Crisis Nursery and the Boys and Girls Club.
