CHAMPAIGN -- All of Unit 4's 18 schools opened their doors to parents Monday. It's the National African-American Parent Involvement Day. It's part of the district's celebration of Black History Month. The aim is to give kids, parents and teachers a game plan to improve literacy. Parents took home a book to read to their kids.
