PBL working toward rare playoff run

PAXTON, Ill. - PBL is looking to get back on track this fall. The Panthers won their first four games last year, just one win away from qualifying for the playoffs, but they went on to lose their final five games of the season. That bitter end to 2013 is motivating this year's 15 seniors to make PBL's first playoff appearance since 2006.

"We didn't have the success we wanted to do at the end," said receiver Jonah Wilson.  "We knew we had a lot more potential to do than what we did, but we're going to come back stronger because of it."

"It hurt a lot last year," said quarterback Brock Swanstrom.  "But that's going to help a lot this year in motivation and coming back into the game."

"We're not going to dwell on the past," said head coach Jeff Graham.  "However we do need to learn that one play can determine the outcome and that we focus every single play."
