ILLINOIS -- A new tax, expected to bring in big bucks, isn't quite stacking up. The "Pole Tax" brought in nearly $400,000 last year. It's well short of the projected $1 million it was expected to generate. Strip clubs pay the tax based on size and revenue. Money from that tax funds rape crisis centers statewide.
