Police seize 60 marijuana plants after investigation

TAYLORVILLE -- Police charged one man for growing marijuana plants at his home. 
TAYLORVILLE -- Police charged one man for growing marijuana plants at his home. A two month investigation led to the arrest of 52-year old Jeffrey Strocher early Friday morning.

Authorities say they seized 60-suspected cannabis sativa plants and various equipment used in the production of the substance from the home in the 900-block of North 1500 East Road. Officials estimate the suspected plants could have a street value in excess of $100,000 upon maturity.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should call police.
