URBANA -- People are getting ready to run in this week's Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon. Organizers have been getting ready for months. They want you to remember that it's going to be a little tricky to get around. They'll be closing off some roads in sections for the big race on both Friday night and Saturday. That will happen about a half hour before runners are supposed to get there.

"With the majority of the runners starting in Champaign and going into Urbana, most of the Urbana side becomes closed on a more fixed basis until the runners are past and then we open it right back up," said emergency services coordinator Scott Friedlein.

On the Champaign side, a lot of the streets are shared between drivers and runners. That should help keep some of the traffic moving. But organizers say to keep an eye out and let the racers have the right of way.
