URBANA -- The Champaign man accused of killing his mother and setting her body on fire was in court Monday. <br><br>
URBANA -- The Champaign man accused of killing his mother and setting her body on fire was in court Monday. 31-year old Terry Brownlee faces four counts of murder.

Several family members also appeared in court for Brownlee's arraignment. It was a very emotional display with lots of tears as the judge announced the charges.

Authorities found 61-year old Sharon "Shirley" Brownlee when they responded to an apartment Friday morning. Court documents state her son, Terry, stabbed her in the face and neck, then set fire to the body.

Brownlee reportedly has a history of mental illness. He faces charges of first degree murder, arson and concealment of a body to cover a homicide.

He could face 60-years in prison. He's currently being held on $5-million bond.
