ILLINOIS -- A special committee has been formed to try to slow an outbreak of measles.
ILLINOIS -- A special committee has been formed to try to slow an outbreak of measles. The state senate formed a special committee on immunizations.

In the past few years, cases of measles have tripled. In the past decade, whooping cough has increased ten-fold.

The committee is tasked with finding better ways to administer and provide vaccinations to at-risk populations. The committee was formed this week and will begin work in the coming days.
