Sullivan suspended 2 games by NCAA

URBANA, Ill. - Illinois softball coach Terri Sullivan has been issued a two-game suspension by the NCAA for "inappropriate conduct" after she was ejected during Illinois' game against No. 4 Michigan on Saturday. Sullivan made incidental contact with an umpire during an on-field argument. According to NCAA rule 13.3, contact with an umpire - whether accidental or not - results in an automatic two-game suspension. Sullivan appealed the suspension, but her appeal was denied. She will miss the first two games of this weekend's series at Penn State.
