Summer schedules have you and your family dashing here, there, and everywhere. Wouldn't it be nice if dinner was ready when you got home?
"Krockstar" Karla Westray brings us her recipe for slow-cooked sweet and sour pork.
Sweet and Sour Pork (using leftover pork chops)
6 cooked pork chops or pieces
1 #2 can pineapple chunks
1 cup slice red & green peppers
1 onion peeled and cut up
1 jar of sweet-n-sour sauce
Your choice of prepared rice
Cut pork into strips or bite size pieces. Clean and cut all vegetables.
Drain pineapple chunks. Place the pork pieces, veggies and pineapple in crockpot.
Pour sweet and sour sauce over all. Cover with lid and cook for 2-3 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low. Prepare your choice of rice. When ready to serve, place rice on plate and top with sweet and sour pork dish.
