ILLINOIS -- Lawmakers are stepping up their efforts to crackdown on heroin. It's become a serious problem. The State Heroin Task Force held the first of many hearings in Chicago earlier Tuesday. It comes after the House declared a "heroin state of emergency." The panel hopes the hearings will help identify the main cause of the epidemic.
