ILLINOIS -- Teenagers could have a hard time finding jobs in the state this summer.
A recent study ranks Illinois in the top 10 for the highest teen unemployment rates in the country. In fact, it's the highest it's been in more than 40 years.

In 2012, only about 27% of teens had jobs. With a struggling economy, teenagers are competing with adults for minimum wage jobs. African-American teens had the lowest employment rates compared to people from other backgrounds.
