Tony Maltbia has been selected as Interim Assistant Principal of Centennial High School, Danielle Cook has been appointed as Associate Principal of Jefferson Middle School, and David Mast has been chosen as Associate Principal of Franklin Middle School.

Maltbia originally joined Unit 4 schools as a Dean of Students at Columbia Center in 2008, and has served as a Special Education teacher at Centennial High School, and Dean of Students at Central High.

Cook is currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Bloomington High School. Prior to this appointment, she worked for Urbana High School as an Assistant Principal of Discipline and Attendance for five years and a Dean of Students for three years.

Mast is currently serving Franklin Middle School as a sixth-grade Science Teacher. He was recently selected as Assistant Principal for Franklin, but when the title of Associate Principal became available, Mast was selected for the position.

The Unit 4 board also welcomed Kerris Lee as the newest member of the Board of Education. The board selected Lee to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Stig Lanesskog in June. Lee will complete Lanesskog’s term, which expires in April 2015.
