Volunteers ready to help with clean-up

GIFFORD -- Strength is being seen in many ways around the village.
GIFFORD -- Strength is being seen in many ways around the village. The Red Cross set up a shelter at Country Health Care and Rehab, but organizers say only one person came there to sleep Sunday night. They say most people come in to get warmed up and grab a bite to eat, but then they get back out there to work.

A lot of people have been asking how they can volunteer to help. Starting Tuesday, you can check in at Gordyville.

Families cleaning up are being asked to tell the Red Cross how many volunteers they need. Then the families will be matched up with volunteers. The effort will go from 9 am - 3 pm.

They're not starting until 9 am to give workers time to clear the roads. And they're wrapping up at 3 pm before it gets too dark. If you've been affected by the storm and your family or friends are coming to help they're still being asked to sign in.
