Weather 101: Weather Systems

Our weather systems are the main weather makers of the atmosphere. A high pressure system is associated with sinking motion, which leads to dry weather. A low pressure system is the weather system that had fronts associated to it. A warm front signifies the edge of a warm air mass, whereas a cold front signifies the edge of a cold air mass. The cold front also usually leads to showers and thunderstorms.
