This Day In Weather History
2000 - 6 to 10 inches of snow fell in central and southeast Illinois along with blowing and drifting snow. This started in the morning hours and continued into the early evening. There were several traffice accidents related to weather. This resulted in 9 serious injuries and a fatality. A 16 year old male was killed in a one car accident near Neoga (Cumberland County), three were injured in an accident near Assumption (Christian County) and two were injured in an accident near Windsor (Shelby County).
