Summary of the July 12th Torrential Rains

Parts of central Illinois started their weekend with heavy rain that wouldn't stop for a few hours.  Some places reported over 6" of rain.  Flash Flood Warnings were issued for several counties  Many cars were stranded as drivers tried to drive through flooded roadways. Classic example of why you shouldn't drive through a flooded road. Remember, if you encounter water covering the road, "turn around, don't drown".
