Summary of the May 21st Central Illinois' Hail Storms

On May 21st, 2014, several hail storms moved through east central Illinois. These storms caused damage in several locations and put on quite a light show with all the vivid lightning. Flooding was also an issue as several locations we're under a Flash Flood Warning for most of the evening. Douglas county was hardest hit by the storms with several damage reports coming from the Tolono area. Piatt County also had damage near White Heath. Central Illinois is no stranger to storms producing hail of 2" or greater. Below is a list of the last time hail of this size affected the same areas.
