DANVILLE -- Workers at an area plant hope to finally reach an agreement. More than 200 union members at Viscofan threatened to go on strike earlier this month. They say safety and schedules are problems.

Both sides reached a temporary agreement. Members will vote on it on Sunday. Union leaders think it's a good one, but if it doesn't pass, workers will still walk out.

DANVILLE -- More than 200 workers of United Food and Commercial Workers International Union are threatening to go on strike. They've authorized a walk-out at Viscofan.

The company makes food processing equipment and supplies. Workers say decisions by the company have put them at risk of being exposed to dangerous gases.

They also claim to face tripping hazards in the factory. They're pushing for changes. Employees say the strike is a last resort.

Talks have broken down. A strike could begin as early as April 18.
