SULLIVAN -- Most of us have caught a few softballs in our time.
SULLIVAN -- Most of us have caught a few softballs in our time. But, try catching one being dropped from 250-feet up in the air. Chris Shields, of Champaign, did! Watch!

It all started when Shield's daughter asked him what the world record was for the highest catch. At the time, there wasn't one.

Shields went to Guinness and created the category. You're watching home video of the catch. A powered-parachute drops the ball from 250-feet at speeds up to 80-miles per hour.

Shields says he's working on breaking another world record with his friends by January, but adds, we'll just have to wait to see what it is.
