Families struggle to buy healthy foods with SNAP cuts

SPRINGFIELD -- Starting November 1, many families faced cuts to their federal food benefits, but one group says it doesn't mean you have to skimp on healthy food.
SPRINGFIELD -- Starting November 1, many families faced cuts to their federal food benefits, but one group says it doesn't mean you have to skimp on healthy food. The cuts are part of a stimulus bill which expired this month. 

It means the family of four receiving the maximum amount of benefits could lose as much as $36 per month. But the Gen H Coalition says dollars lost on SNAP don't necessarily mean nutrition has to go out the window.
