CHAMPAIGN -- Reactions from Illini fans as they got ready for the big rivalry againt Indiana.
First big ten conference game inside state farm center and fans filed in early.
Kent Brown works with the Athletic Department and he says "when the big ten basketball season starts it’s certainly a different level of excitement." Fans are also they're also excited about future renovations. "For next season our hope is to have all new seats replaced in the "C" section, says Brown."

That’s not all; the arena will get a full makeover. That project is set to finish in 20-16, and the cost of it won't be passed on to U-of-I supporters. "There's really no plan to increase the single game tickets or season tickets because of the construction," says Brown.

No matter what happens at state farm center fans will continue to come in and sit in every single seat. In the sea of orange and blue, you'll find Decatur native Mark Nicholls. Sitting Next to him is Norman Bayliss.

"I moved to Indy in 2006, and we became friends right after that and good friends ever since, says Nicholls. Good friends, rooting for two different teams. As he sits between two Illini fans Norman Bayliss says "no there’s no pressure, no pressure what so ever, I’m a diehard Hoosier fan."

Bayliss is rooting for the wrong team so Nicholls had to set the record straight. "I’m looking for an Illini victory," says Nicholls.
