On the week of the biggest football game of the season, Sacred Heart-Griffin is putting their opponent first. SHG plays Washington Saturday in the state semifinals. The game will be played less than one week after a tornado ripped through Washington. SHG is reaching out. Head coach Ken Leonard said they are providing charter buses for students and fans to attend the game. It's a 1:00 kick-off. SHG is also helping feed the fans after the game and the players before and after the contest. They are providing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the pre-game meal, keeping with a Washington ritual this season of eating that before the games. SHG will also be taking donations and raising money through a 50/50 raffle for Washington and Washington High School.
