Garman swears in new lawyers

SPRINGFIELD -- It's an extra special day for attorneys admitted to the Illinois Bar Association.
SPRINGFIELD -- It's an extra special day for attorneys admitted to the Illinois Bar Association. New Chief Justice Rita B. Garman admitted 82-new lawyers in the 4th Judicial District.

All of the candidates passed the Illinois Bar exam and other tests. Garman was sworn in as the new Chief Justice Monday. Thursday is her fourth day on the job.

More than 2,000 new attorneys were sworn in during ceremonies in the state's five Supreme Court Judicial Districts.
