Go for the green!

URBANA -- If you think you're getting all the health benefits from your broccoli, think again.
URBANA -- If you think you're getting all the health benefits from your broccoli, think again. Researchers at UI say, if you boil or microwave frozen broccoli, you could be missing an enzyme called sulforaphane.

The enzyme helps prevent cancer and inflammation. UI student Ed Dosz helped come up with an idea to bring back the benefits. Add a little mustard or horseradish to your meal.

This professor is trying to get companies to add the enzyme back in the broccoli before packaging. But, for now, you can do it yourself.

She recommends eating between 3 - 5 servings of the green stuff every week. You get the most out of the veggie if you steam it.
