PIATT COUNTY -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision.
PIATT COUNTY -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision. It happened in Hammond on Route 36, just west of 400 East Road.

Police say one of the drivers said she may have fallen asleep behind the wheel then her car crossed the center line and went into an oncoming car with a 6-year old inside.

The child is not hurt. Drivers of both cars were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
