URBANA -- A homeless woman accused of robbing a bank was in court Thursday. Police say Kate Hubble robbed the Central Illinois Bank on Cunningham Avenue Wednesday.

They say she demanded money and told the teller she had a bomb in her bag. She fled, but police found her minutes later. Hubble faces robbery charges and is being held on $25,000 bond.

URBANA -- A homeless woman was arrested Wednesday for robbing a bank. It happened at the Central Illinois Bank in the 1500-block of Cunningham Avenue.

Kate Hubble entered the bank with a bag, told staff she had a bomb and demanded money. The staff complied and Hubble left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Six minutes later, police spotted her nearby. She tried to run, but police stopped her. The investigation is ongoing.
