Hot start propels Illini past Dartmouth 72-65

Illinois raced out to a 12-point halftime advantage before holding on for a 72-65 win over Dartmouth Tuesday night at State Farm Center. The Illini were led in scoring by Champaign-native Rayvonte Rice with 13 points. Jon Ekey, Joseph Bertrand and Nanna Egwu added 13 apiece. Freshman Malcolm Hill enjoyed his best game so far as an Illini with 10 points and 4 rebounds. Illinois improves to 9-1 on the year.
