CHAMPAIGN -- The Illinois men's basketball team hosts Chicago State Friday night.  It's a series in which Illinois has never lost; they're 10-0 all-time against the Cougars.

Friday's game will give Illinois a chance to push the pace.  Unlike Illinois' last few opponents, who have played a lot of zone defense, Chicago State likes to play fast and push the pace.  The Illini players are looking forward to letting their athleticism shine.

"Coach emphasizes that they're probably going to get a shot up in the first six seconds of the shot clock," said junior Rayvonte Rice.  "We're going to have to play well tomorrow night, and I think we'll do that."

Illinois and Chicago State tip off at 8:00 pm Friday night.
