Keeping busy with holiday work

CHAMPAIGN -- It's been a busy season for business owners around here. The owner at Cream and Flutter says this month has been packed full of special orders and party favors. She says time was crunched even more since there were fewer shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas. But they were happy to whip up some delicious sweets and treats for their customers.

"It certainly is fun to get those holiday flavors and start to feel the warmth of the season," said Cream and Flutter owner Amanda Wyatt. "It gets cold outside so we do lots of different hot chocolates and homemade syrups for things like mochas and lattes."

Some of those desserts have been packaged as stocking stuffers. Bakers have also been making special flavored desserts, like chocolate peppermint and eggnog nutmeg.
