CHAMPAIGN -- Most kindergarteners are learning addition, but some students at Kenwood Elementary are coding computers. They're participating in the National Computer Science Education Week.

Kindergarten through 5th graders are learning how to work with technology. They're using a child-friendly program called Etoys to teach the kids how to program.

Principal Lisa Geren says they're learning to produce technology instead of consume it. The program is a nationwide initiative.

The goal is to get 10-million students involved. The skills they're learning could help them in our digital world.
