DANVILLE -- Mayor Eisenhauer is fighting to keep some state jobs in the city. The state is consolidating unemployment offices throughout Illinois.

One plan involves moving Danville's office and its eleven employees to Champaign. Mayor Eisenhauer says it's a bad move.

The letter he wrote to Governor Quinn pointed out unemployment is worse in Danville than Champaign. He says closing the Danville office would hamper efforts to serve the unemployed there.
