Missed opportunities sum up Stricker's Saturday

Stricker misses late chances to crack top 10 leader board
There were plenty of opportunities for Steve Stricker to set himself up for a final round run. Stricker made 11 straight pars before turning it on in the back nine. But on 17, he had an opportunity to eagle the hole and drop his overall score to -13. But he missed a 5-footer, and he would end up with a birdie on that hole. Then on 18, his second shot found water and Stricker ended up with a bogey to close round 3. He is tied for 17th overall (-11).

Stricker will be paired with Scott Langley (who is also -11 for the tournament) for the final round. The two former Illini will tee off at 11:15 A.M. on Sunday. Joe Affrunti shot a 2-under 69 in round 3 and is -8 overall. He will tee off at 9:45 A.M.
