URBANA -- Despite the snow, people made it out for the opening of Candlestick Lane. Cars filed in to see the annual display of Christmas lights.

Each year people who live there decorate, expecting thousands to drive through. They've been doing this for 50 years.

The celebration kicked off Saturday and people there say the snow made it look more like Christmas. Candlestick Lane is actually on a street named Grant Place, between Fairlawn and Eastern Drive.

The display will be open every day after 5 pm for three weeks.
