CHAMPAIGN -- Police are investigating two armed robberies in the Dobbins Downs neighborhood.

The first happened about 9:45 pm, Sunday, in the 1500-block of Kings Way Drive. A delivery driver was robbed of money and food when he tried making a delivery at an address which turned out to be vacant.

The suspect is a black man, mid-to-late teens, 5'10", 160 lbs. He was wearing dark, baggy clothes, black, fingerless gloves and a gray scarf.

The second holdup happened about 8 pm, Monday, in the 1600-block of Dobbins Drive. A service worker was approached by a suspect with a gun who stole his money.

The suspect is a black man, mid-to-late teens, 5'11", 215 lbs. He was wearing dark, baggy clothing, a dark-colored coat with a red patch on the right chest and large, red letters on the back of the coat in an arch-shape.

CHAMPAIGN - Shots rang out in a neighborhood already dealing with two armed robberies in two days.

It happened Friday, December 20th in the 1600 block of Queens Way Drive in Dobbins Downs. Police got several calls of shots fired around 7:30 that night. No one was hurt.

Neighbors reported seeing an older model, white vehicle leaving the area.

It was just two weeks after two armed robberies in two days. A pizza delivery driver and a home service technician had money and other items stolen at gun point.
