Paul to play professionally in Russia

Former Illinois guard Brandon Paul announced today he'll play his first professional basketball season in Russia. "After evaluating all of my options w/ my agent, family & close circle," Paul announced on Twitter, "I've decided I'm going to play my first professional season in Russia!" Paul went undrafted after excelling for four years at Illinois. He played for the Minnesota Timberwolves summer league team, and he isn't ruling out a return to the NBA. "Truly blessed & humbled to be able to make money doing what I love," Paul wrote. "The journey is just beginning! Long career ahead of me!"
